Crocheting Fun

 Moving on ....

Time to move on. You will need your yarn and make a slip not and put it onto the hook. This is the step you follow all the time except when were changing color of yarns. We will learn more about changing colors later. The right hand holds the needle. If your left handed they say to hold in left hand but in frount of mirror so you know what the right hand stitches looks like.

You can also do a search for left hand tutorials.

Slip stitch is SL stitch are the ones i see the most in patterns that i have seen. im sure it could be written differently.

Next will be holding yarn, and ch st.

cya soon.

 Starting to Crochet

Yes, it is time for you to find some yarn, Scissor, hook and tackle the
stitches. I would recommend medium color not real dark brown, black.
Not real light color like white, yellow to start with. Like a tan color
or rose pink or medium size blue, not navy to dark.

Once you learn the stitches then you can use any color you want.

Asighnment: 1. sl = slip stitch st = stitch sc = single crochet
ch = chain

Memorize those we will be using it on our next step.

Don't worry, it sounds hard but it will become easier the further we
go along.

 Crochet Tips

Tip 1.

For beginners usually they say to start with a big hook. i started with a
g hook when i started, but most recommend the H, or Q stitch.

If you don't have them, any hook will do just makes it a little hard to see
the stitches until you learn what that look like.

Tip 2.

When you start making stitches it is very important to make them all the
same height. Yes sometimes you have to stretch the stitches or make them
longer so they will all be even.

Tip 3.

When finishing for the day, or taking a break for a few moments, pull up
the hook to make a loop about 1/2 an inch. Put a Safety pin in the loop.

Tip 4.

You will also need a marker that you can use to mark a certain stitch or
row. They have fancy things you can buy at the stores.

I just use my left over yarn to mark my stitches. You can use which ever way works best for you.
